Creating a Reports from the Monthly Route-EXCELerator Workbook for your Pocket PC

One of the great features of the Route-EXCELerator is that you can create spin off files to be used for reference on the Pocket PC, or as   as a hardcopy reference log for deliveries the road.  You can also spin off files for other applications and business analysis projects.

The basic process is the same for creating a file or for printing a hardcopy.

Creating a file from the "Account summary" Tab.

1. On a Route-EXCELerator  workbook scroll over and click on the "Account summary" Tab.

2. Depress the Ctrl and Home keys at the same time.  This will bring you to the top left corner of the sheet.

3. Click on the grey cell in that corner (it is above the Number 1 row and to the left of the "A" column).  That will select the entire spreadsheet contents.

4. Copy the selected area, Edit, Copy or right click the mouse over the grey cell in the top left corner.

5. Start a new spreadsheet by clicking the blank page under the file menu, or File, New.

6. Again, depress the Ctrl and Home keys at the same time.  This will bring you to the top left corner of the sheet.  Click the A1 cell, and right click the mouse and select Paste, or click the paste ICON.

7. Click cell D4 and then select Window, Freeze Panes to make the information scrollable with the titles.

8. Save the spreadsheet, by clicking the diskette ICON, or File, Save.  You will be prompted to provide a name and select a location to file it in.  We suggest that you maintain a folder specifically for these monthly history files and name them with the month and date in the title.

9. After you have saved the file you can close it, and copy it to the  PC Synchronization Documents folder on your desk top.  the next time the Pocket PC syncs up with the computer it will copy it to the Pocket PC.

10. Again we recommend that you create a separate folder on the Pocket PC to store the monthly reference files.

11. If you want a hardcopy, just click on the Print Preview ICON and make the necessary page set up adjustments using the Setup tab, to have it print out the way you want.
